        DOD's official civilian bystander/collateral damage numbers for 2018 are: Iraq & Syria: 42 deaths and 7 injuries. Afghanistan: 76 deaths and 58 injuries. Yemen: 0 deaths and 0 injuries Somalia: 2 deaths and 0 injuries Libya: 0 deaths and 0 injuries

          Notably DOD redid the 2017 numbers for Iraq and Syria during the big fighting of the ISIS war. In the report for 2017 last year DOD's self-reported global totals were 499 civilian deaths, but it also said it was still investigating 450 incidents. nytimes.com/2018/06/01/us/politics/pentagon-civilian-casualties.html
