    @RealFacelessMan @steve_vladeck This is really about the AG's authority, delegated to OLC. In addition to the AG's statutory authority under 28 USC §511 & §512, Executive Order 12,146 directs that the AG resolve interagency legal disputes. If an agency & DOJ disagree, that's an interagency dispute, so OLC wins.
