      @MZHemingway @EliLake @KenDilanianNBC It is true that the next sentence in the Nunes memo says the application incorrectly assessed that Steele was not Yahoo's source, which is accurate. But what Nunes did with that and what the IG did with that are different./2

    @MZHemingway @EliLake @KenDilanianNBC Nunes used that to amplify that DOJ misled the court that Yahoo was independent corroboration for Steele info. But the app talked about FusionGPS getting the info & then said they didn't think Steele had "directly" provided it to Yahoo, i.e. his employer did. So Nunes misled./3

      @MZHemingway @EliLake @KenDilanianNBC The IG report dings the FBI for not updating this language when it got recycled into the renewals, after they had figured it out and realize that guess was wrong. They definitely should have fixed it. But this is not what Nunes was talking about./end/bedtime
