Pet peeve @steak_umm: "Challenging" a rule is not "proving" it. Correct usage of "exception that proves the rule" is a stated exception that implies an unstated general rule. (Ex: A park sign that says "no dogs in flowerbeds" shows that dogs are otherwise allowed in the park.) @steak_umm/1251193468451520520
