    1. Some CSPAN caller just said the USA was founded on "peaceful" protests like the Boston Tea Party, in contrast to criminal vandalism and looting. This is not a defense of property destruction (whatsoever) but LOL at the clueless citation of the Boston Tea Party as not being that.

    Yes, on December 16, 1773, colonists gathered on the garden patio. Sipping earl gray and munching on finger-sized cucumber sandwiches, they earnestly discussed their disagreements with British policies.
