UPDATE: Capitol Police confirm it's their investigation into some kind of an online threat that led to the Twitter subpoena, and they say the inquiry is still open even though the subpoena was withdrawn. (It's unclear who or what they're still looking at.) nytimes.com/live/2021/05/18/us/joe-biden-news-today#the-capitol-police-are-conducting-an-inquiry-related-to-a-subpoena-to-twitter-about-a-devin-nunes-parody-account

UPDATE: Confirming @CNN, the purported threat was to McConnell, not Nunes. Also, @NunesAlt was apparently not the originator of whatever the post was (it has apparently been deleted); notably, there were morbid jokes about McConnell & zombies around then. nytimes.com/2021/05/19/us/politics/subpoena-threat-nunes-mcconnell.html
