    1. Wanted to watch a Fourth of July movie with the family last night so streamed "The Patriot," which I had never seen. Good action scenes but what LOL propaganda re the South Carolina plantation owner (Mel Gibson) whose happy black field hands & house servants were paid employees.

    On a history-nerdier level, also for it to be the evil British general who was lusting over Ohio, when a major cause of the Revolution was the king's forbidding white colonials from going into the Northwest Territory, thwarting land speculators like George Washington.
