        Update: When Axios disclosed Kremlin outreach, Carlson belatedly acknowledged the key context but also said he learned the day before that intel officials leaked his emails' contents to a reporter. Axios' @jonathanvswan now says he talked to C that day & that's not what he said.

      Important bc Carlson portrayed this convo w/ a reporter as confirming his original claim of politicized spying. But if his claim instead prompted chatter, in & outside govt, about what really happened & Swan picked up on it & called w/out saying those things, it's different.

    PS No idea who Swan's sources were. But if they were US officials & they had seen a report explaining the reality behind his claims, might still have been masked. There's only one "US TV news program host 1" who had accused the NSA of spying on him-wouldn't be hard to figure out.
