    1. The full DC Circuit has rejected Trump's request that it rehear a case about whether to block the House from seeing his tax returns. But he can now appeal to the Supreme Court, so if GOP takes the House will probably succeed in running out the clock. nytimes.com/2022/10/27/us/trump-tax-returns-appeals-court.html

    (A Trump-appointed district judge, Trevor McFadden, earlier sat on the case nearly 2 1/2 years before finally issuing a ruling in December. He said the House had a legal right to the returns, but by dragging his feet so long, he helped Trump thwart the oversight effort anyway.)
