    1. How different would US politics be if N Dakota, S Dakota, Montana, Idaho & Wyoming had been made into one state? Their combined pop now is 5.4M, ≈ to S Carolina or Minnesota. It'd get 2 senators, 7 House seats & 10 electoral college votes, rather than 10 S, 7 H & 17 EC votes.
